Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Sans Titre by Emilio Pettoruti was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in October 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 2,520.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emilio Pettoruti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Concierto in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 794,500.00 (€ 642,591.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Sans Titre von Emilio Pettoruti im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 2.520,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emilio Pettoruti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Concierto im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 794.500,00 (€ 642.591,39).
