This artwork by Emilios Prosalentis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in November last year. In the The Greek Sale auction, the work Le cuirassé Averof à Constantinople sold for EUR 21,675.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emilios Prosalentis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek Greek Vessels On Choppy Waters, which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 58,100.00 (€ 74,069.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Emilios Prosalentis erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Greek Sale wurde die Arbeit Le cuirassé Averof à Constantinople für EUR 21.675,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Emilios Prosalentis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek Greek Vessels On Choppy Waters beobachtet, die im April 2008 für GBP 58.100,00 (€ 74.069,29) versteigert wurde.
