Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Roses On A Classical Ledge by Emmanuel Fries was sold in the Specialist Selects auction at Sothebys in London in January 2020. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,973.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emmanuel Fries achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vase De Fleurs Et Panier Sur Un Entablement De Marbre in June 2010 with an auction result of EUR 51,150.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.973,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emmanuel Fries erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vase De Fleurs Et Panier Sur Un Entablement De Marbre im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 51.150,00.
