This artwork by Emperor Jiaqing achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2004. In the Dragon & Phoenix - 800 Years of Patronage auction, the work Standard Script Calligraphy sold for HKD 71,700.00 (€ 6,954.23) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Emperor Jiaqing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Regular Script in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 529,200.00 (€ 56,659.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Emperor Jiaqing erzielte im November 2004 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Dragon & Phoenix - 800 Years of Patronage wurde die Arbeit Standard Script Calligraphy für HKD 71.700,00 (€ 6.954,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emperor Jiaqing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular Script im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 529.200,00 (€ 56.659,15).
