Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Emperor Kangxi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in April 2001. In the THE IMPERIAL SALE auction, the work Poem In Running Script Calligraphy sold for HKD 411,250.00 (€ 59,412.05) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Emperor Kangxi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Running Script in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 3,068,000.00 (€ 345,461.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Emperor Kangxi erzielte im April 2001 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion THE IMPERIAL SALE wurde die Arbeit Poem In Running Script Calligraphy für HKD 411.250,00 (€ 59.412,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emperor Kangxi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.068.000,00 (€ 345.461,35).
