Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Superficie argento by Enrico Castellani was sold in the The Italian Sale auction at Christies in London in October 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 499,544.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Enrico Castellani have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Superficie Bianca in October 2014 with an auction result of GBP 3,778,500.00 (€ 4,824,598.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Superficie argento von Enrico Castellani wurde im Oktober 2010 in der Auktion The Italian Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 433.250,00 (€ 499.544,05) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Enrico Castellani auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Superficie Bianca im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.778.500,00 (€ 4.824.598,68).
