Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2011 Christies in London held the auction The Sunday Sale, which included the work Under the terrace, Brome Hall by Ernest Arthur Rowe. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,004.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ernest Arthur Rowe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Gardens of Montacute House, Somerset in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 14,400.00 (€ 20,836.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Sunday Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Under the terrace, Brome Hall von Ernest Arthur Rowe zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.004,19) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ernest Arthur Rowe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Gardens of Montacute House, Somerset im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.400,00 (€ 20.836,56).
