Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A group of three lithographs by Ernest Stephen Lumsden was sold in the The Scholar's Vision: The Pal Family Collection auction at Christies in New York in March 2008. The price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 790.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Ernest Stephen Lumsden have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Northern Twilight in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,944.88).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernest Stephen Lumsden auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Northern Twilight im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.944,88).
