Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Symbols by Etel Adnan was auctioned at Christies in London in November last year. The price achieved of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 21,900.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Etel Adnan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 352,800.00 (€ 417,972.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Symbols von Etel Adnan kam im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 21.900,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Etel Adnan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 352.800,00 (€ 417.972,71).
