Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Stepping stones by Etty Horton was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2004. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 300.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 310.70 (€ 466.16). Admittedly, works by Etty Horton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A horseman by a pond in a wooded landscape; and A horse and cart by a cottage in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 1,880.00 (€ 3,072.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Stepping stones von Etty Horton kam im Mai 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 300,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 310,70 (€ 466,16) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Etty Horton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A horseman by a pond in a wooded landscape; and A horse and cart by a cottage im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.880,00 (€ 3.072,79).
