Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction An Important Collection of Photographs by Eugène and Adalbert Cuvelier, which included the work 'Sables De Macherin' (Rocks And Trees) by Eugène Cuvelier. The price achieved of USD 38,400.00 (€ 28,111.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eugène Cuvelier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Village De Rivière' in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 288,000.00 (€ 210,834.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion An Important Collection of Photographs by Eugène and Adalbert Cuvelier durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Sables De Macherin' (Rocks And Trees) von Eugène Cuvelier zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 38.400,00 (€ 28.111,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eugène Cuvelier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Village De Rivière' im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 288.000,00 (€ 210.834,55).
