The painting was earlier, for many years, part of a private collection in the north of Sweden. It was reportedly acquired by the previous owner in Stockholm a long time ago.

Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Nude by Eugène Jansson for SEK 34,000.00 (€ 3,351.79). This price was achieved in the auction Important Spring Sale at Bukowski in Stockholm and was even below the estimate range of SEK 40,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Jansson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Timmermansgatan' (Timmermansgatan) in December 2021 with an auction result of SEK 3,150,000.00 (€ 307,262.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Nude von Eugène Jansson für SEK 34.000,00 (€ 3.351,79) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Spring Sale bei Bukowski in Stockholm erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 40.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Jansson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Timmermansgatan' (Timmermansgatan) im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 3.150.000,00 (€ 307.262,77).
