Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 63.301,14) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 61%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Delacroix erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tigre jouant avec une tortue im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.875.000,00 (€ 8.461.868,04).
