Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Grandpa'S Favorite by Eugenio Zampighi was sold in the Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2016. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 23,079.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eugenio Zampighi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La famiglia felice, which sold at auction in December 2001 for ITL 73,500,000.00 (€ 66,059.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Grandpa'S Favorite von Eugenio Zampighi wurde im Januar 2016 in der Auktion Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 23.079,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Eugenio Zampighi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La famiglia felice beobachtet, die im Dezember 2001 für ITL 73.500.000,00 (€ 66.059,99) versteigert wurde.
