Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Christies in London held the auction Russian Pictures, Icons & Works of Art, which included the work Halfway there by Evgeny Gorokhovsky. It changed hands for a price of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,801.05) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Evgeny Gorokhovsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ukrainian Relevatory Interval, 1998, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 40,000.00 (€ 25,693.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Russian Pictures, Icons & Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Halfway there von Evgeny Gorokhovsky zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.801,05) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Evgeny Gorokhovsky mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ukrainian Relevatory Interval, 1998 beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 40.000,00 (€ 25.693,73) versteigert wurde.
