Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Evie Sydney Hone could be acquired at Christies in London in July last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Five Private Collections auction, the work Saint Cecilia changed hands for GBP 630.00 (€ 752.33) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Evie Sydney Hone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in September 2018 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,270.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Evie Sydney Hone konnte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Five Private Collections wechselte die Arbeit Saint Cecilia für GBP 630,00 (€ 752,33) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Evie Sydney Hone erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.270,39).
