A top price for F. Walters - as previously expected
In February 2001 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work Vessels off the coast at dawn and dusk by F. Walters. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 611.00 (€ 957.29) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Vessels off the coast at dawn and dusk is the most expensive artwork by F. Walters that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Februar 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vessels off the coast at dawn and dusk von F. Walters zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 611,00 (€ 957,29) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
