Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Faik Hassan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2017. In the 20th Century Art/ Middle East auction, the work Iraqi untitled (Fishermen) sold for GBP 26,250.00 (€ 31,172.33) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Faik Hassan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Baghdadiyat in May this year with an auction result of GBP 190,900.00 (€ 222,113.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Faik Hassan erzielte im April 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Art/ Middle East wurde die Arbeit Iraqi untitled (Fishermen) für GBP 26.250,00 (€ 31.172,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Faik Hassan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Baghdadiyat im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 190.900,00 (€ 222.113,42).
