A top price for Fan Qi
In October 2014 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Knowing: Classical Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Le Yi Studio Collection, which included the work Travelling in the Mountains in Autumn by Fan Qi. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 1,380,000.00 (€ 142,075.02), 73% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Travelling in the Mountains in Autumn the most expensive artwork by Fan Qi that we have observed at auctions so far.
