This artwork by Farhad Hussain achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2008. In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction, the work without title sold for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,640.34) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Farhad Hussain; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sans Titre, 2006 sold at auction in December 2007 with the realized price of EUR 22,306.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Farhad Hussain erzielte im Juni 2008 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.640,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 4.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Farhad Hussain; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Sans Titre, 2006 im Dezember 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 22.306,00.
