Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2006 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work The Madonna And Child by Federico Bencovich. It changed hands for a price of GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,548.56) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Federico Bencovich have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work God Separating Light From Darkness in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 90,000.00 (€ 69,241.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2006 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Madonna And Child von Federico Bencovich zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 5.760,00 (€ 8.548,56) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Federico Bencovich auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit God Separating Light From Darkness im Januar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 90.000,00 (€ 69.241,42).
