Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reclining Nude by Félix-Maurice Charpentier was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. The price achieved of USD 17,640.00 (€ 15,145.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Félix-Maurice Charpentier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French Flora, which sold at auction in October 2008 for USD 62,500.00 (€ 49,282.45).
