Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Tripolis by Ferdinand Erfmann was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2001, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of NLG 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for NLG 1,410.00 (€ 677.71). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ferdinand Erfmann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vrouw met kinderwagen in December 2006 with an auction result of EUR 51,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Tripolis von Ferdinand Erfmann im Juni 2001 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von NLG 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für NLG 1.410,00 (€ 677,71) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ferdinand Erfmann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vrouw met kinderwagen im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 51.600,00.
