In April 2001 Christies in New York held the auction Fine Nineteenth Century European Art, which included the work The intermission by Ferdinand Heilbuth. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 21,150.00 (€ 23,833.67). Other works by Ferdinand Heilbuth have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 39,435.00 (€ 43,806.93) in April 2002 for the work Faraway Thoughts.

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 21.150,00 (€ 23.833,67) einen neuen Besitzer.
