Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bildnis Gertrud Müller Im Grünen, 1916 by Ferdinand Hodler was auctioned at Sothebys in Zurich in June 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CHF 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of CHF 855,000.00 (€ 737,919.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Ferdinand Hodler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Montanalandschaft Mit Becs De Bosson Und Vallon De Réchy Montana Landscape With Becs De Bosson And Vallon De Réchy in June 2013 with an auction result of CHF 8,005,000.00 (€ 6,511,061.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bildnis Gertrud Müller Im Grünen, 1916 von Ferdinand Hodler kam im Juni 2018 bei Sothebys in Zürich zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CHF 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CHF 855.000,00 (€ 737.919,84) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ferdinand Hodler auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Montanalandschaft Mit Becs De Bosson Und Vallon De Réchy Montana Landscape With Becs De Bosson And Vallon De Réchy im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 8.005.000,00 (€ 6.511.061,49).
