Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Christies in Paris held the auction UN AUTRE XXE SIECLE: LES ARTS DE LA FIGURATION 1900-1950, which included the work Le marché aux poissons à Djibouti by Fernand Lantoine. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 22,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Fernand Lantoine have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2013 the work Marrakech was auctioned for EUR 35,723.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion UN AUTRE XXE SIECLE: LES ARTS DE LA FIGURATION 1900-1950 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le marché aux poissons à Djibouti von Fernand Lantoine zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 22.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Fernand Lantoine konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2013 die Arbeit Marrakech für EUR 35.723,00 versteigert.
