Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Circus Woman with Baby Tiger by Fernando Botero was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2016. Here, the upper estimate of USD 450,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 461,000.00 (€ 414,009.88). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fernando Botero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Musicians in November this year with an auction result of USD 5,132,000.00 (€ 4,704,803.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Circus Woman with Baby Tiger von Fernando Botero wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 450.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 461.000,00 (€ 414.009,88) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fernando Botero erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Musicians im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.132.000,00 (€ 4.704.803,81).
