Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Tablao flamenco by Fernando Botero was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2019. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,055,000.00 (€ 1,864,960.52). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fernando Botero - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Musicians, which sold at auction in November this year for USD 5,132,000.00 (€ 4,704,803.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Tablao flamenco von Fernando Botero kam im November 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.055.000,00 (€ 1.864.960,52) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Fernando Botero mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Musicians beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für USD 5.132.000,00 (€ 4.704.803,81) versteigert wurde.
