Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work Sorting Fibre and Feathers for Weaving by Fernando Cueto Amorsolo. It changed hands for a price of HKD 381,000.00 (€ 45,657.32) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 250,000.00 – 400,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fernando Cueto Amorsolo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maiden With Fruits, 1930 in March 2019 with an auction result of HKD 4,975,625.00 (€ 564,565.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sorting Fibre and Feathers for Weaving von Fernando Cueto Amorsolo zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 381.000,00 (€ 45.657,32) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 400.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fernando Cueto Amorsolo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maiden With Fruits, 1930 im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.975.625,00 (€ 564.565,93).
