Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Camino a Mendieta by Fernando de Szyszlo was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2016. The price achieved of USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,922.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fernando de Szyszlo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paclla Pampa (Campo Desolado), which sold at auction in May 2011 for USD 182,500.00 (€ 126,947.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Camino a Mendieta von Fernando de Szyszlo wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 35.922,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Fernando de Szyszlo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paclla Pampa (Campo Desolado) beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für USD 182.500,00 (€ 126.947,69) versteigert wurde.
