Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Fernando de Szyszlo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2017. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Mar de Lurín sold for USD 125,000.00 (€ 105,059.67) - well above the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Fernando de Szyszlo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Paclla Pampa (Campo Desolado) sold at auction in May 2011 with the realized price of USD 182,500.00 (€ 126,947.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fernando de Szyszlo erzielte im November 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin American Art wurde die Arbeit Mar de Lurín für USD 125.000,00 (€ 105.059,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Fernando de Szyszlo; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Paclla Pampa (Campo Desolado) im Mai 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 126.947,69).
