Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Feeding swans in the harem by Filippo Baratti was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,087.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Filippo Baratti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An oath of allegiance in the Hall of the Abencerrajes, Alhambra, Granada in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 59,750.00 (€ 92,419.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Feeding swans in the harem von Filippo Baratti kam im März 2009 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.087,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Filippo Baratti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An oath of allegiance in the Hall of the Abencerrajes, Alhambra, Granada im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 59.750,00 (€ 92.419,72).
