Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Frances Macdonald MacNair could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important British Art auction, the work The Rose Child changed hands for GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,227.81) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frances Macdonald MacNair have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Sleeping Princess in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 66,000.00 (€ 97,816.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frances Macdonald MacNair konnte im Juni 2005 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important British Art wechselte die Arbeit The Rose Child für GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.227,81) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frances Macdonald MacNair auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Sleeping Princess im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 66.000,00 (€ 97.816,17).
