Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2003 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work A Lively Discussion by Francesco Bergamini. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,755.00 (€ 9,264.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Bergamini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Disobedient Pupil, which sold at auction in June 2008 for USD 31,250.00 (€ 19,843.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2003 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Lively Discussion von Francesco Bergamini zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.755,00 (€ 9.264,36) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Francesco Bergamini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Disobedient Pupil beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für USD 31.250,00 (€ 19.843,79) versteigert wurde.
