Auction result misses estimated price range

This work of art by Francesco Scavullo could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in November 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Francesco Scavullo: No End to Beauty auction, the work Sophia Loren changed hands for USD 938.00 (€ 888.09) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Scavullo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Janis Joplin, 1969 in May 2016 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 21,204.54).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
