This artwork by Francesco Ubertini achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2001. In the Old Master Pictures auction, the work The Persecution of Saint Barbara sold for GBP 41,125.00 (€ 67,192.55) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Ubertini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Madonna and Child with Saint John the Baptist seated among rocks, a village beyond with shepherds in December 2000 with an auction result of GBP 432,750.00 (€ 689,366.88).

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Francesco Ubertini erzielte im Dezember 2001 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Pictures wurde die Arbeit The Persecution of Saint Barbara für GBP 41.125,00 (€ 67.192,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Ubertini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Madonna and Child with Saint John the Baptist seated among rocks, a village beyond with shepherds im Dezember 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 432.750,00 (€ 689.366,88).
