Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Old Masters Part II, which included the work A Village Fête by Francesco Zuccarelli. The price achieved of USD 47,500.00 (€ 39,340.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Francesco Zuccarelli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Rape of Europa in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 171,000.00 (€ 183,319.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Masters Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Village Fête von Francesco Zuccarelli zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 39.340,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francesco Zuccarelli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Rape of Europa im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 171.000,00 (€ 183.319,04).
