Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2000 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work On Westminster Bridge by Francis Moltino. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,920.49) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francis Moltino - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Royal Naval College, Greenwich, from the Thames, which sold at auction in September 2002 for GBP 3,760.00 (€ 5,975.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit On Westminster Bridge von Francis Moltino zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.920,49) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Francis Moltino mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Royal Naval College, Greenwich, from the Thames beobachtet, die im September 2002 für GBP 3.760,00 (€ 5.975,50) versteigert wurde.
