It achieved a price of USD 118,750.00 (€ 107,768.40), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 32%. Admittedly, works by Francisco Toledo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Meu Xubi in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 1,040,000.00 (€ 943,824.30).

Die Arbeit Cocodrilos de a montón von Francisco Toledo wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 107.768,40) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 32%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francisco Toledo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Meu Xubi im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.040.000,00 (€ 943.824,30).
