This artwork by Francisco Toledo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2007. In the Latin American Sale Day Session auction, the work Insectos sold for USD 115,000.00 (€ 78,295.21) - well above the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francisco Toledo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Meu Xubi in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 1,040,000.00 (€ 943,824.30).
