Auction result misses estimated price range
In April this year a collector was able to acquire the work Desnudo en la Puerta Nude at the Door by Francisco Zúñiga for USD 1,402.50 (€ 1,270.38). This price was achieved in the auction Modern Native American Art at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francisco Zúñiga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grupo de cuatro mujeres de pie in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 3,127,500.00 (€ 2,783,463.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Desnudo en la Puerta Nude at the Door von Francisco Zúñiga für USD 1.402,50 (€ 1.270,38) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern Native American Art bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francisco Zúñiga erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grupo de cuatro mujeres de pie im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.127.500,00 (€ 2.783.463,87).
