Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Revolution, which included the work The Ploughing Lesson; A Study For 'L'Agriculture' by François-André Vincent. Here, the upper estimate of USD 350,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 389,000.00 (€ 340,005.24). Other works by François-André Vincent have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 734,400.00 (€ 543,195.27) in June 2007 for the work Zeuxis Choosing His Models For The Image Of Helen From Among The Girls Of Croton.
