Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work In the kitchen by François Jacobs for GBP 1,938.75 (€ 3,169.35). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by François Jacobs have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in January 2008 by the work Attention to detail at GBP 3,750.00 (€ 5,027.04).
