Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by François-Xavier Lalanne achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Monte-Carlo in July last year. In the Monaco Sculptures auction, the work Bison Américain - 1983 sold for EUR 164,040.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François-Xavier Lalanne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'RHINOCRÉTAIRE I', PIÈCE UNIQUE, 1964 in October this year with an auction result of EUR 18,335,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von François-Xavier Lalanne erzielte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Monte-Carlo einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Monaco Sculptures wurde die Arbeit Bison Américain - 1983 für EUR 164.040,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François-Xavier Lalanne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'RHINOCRÉTAIRE I', PIÈCE UNIQUE, 1964 im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 18.335.000,00.
