Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Frank Algernon Stewart could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Sporting Art and Dogs auction, the work Fernies -Full Cry, With Mr Fernie And Arthur Thatcher changed hands for GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,134.17) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Other works by Frank Algernon Stewart have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in January 2002 by the work The Crawley and Horsham Hunt at USD 3,055.00 (€ 3,554.81).
