In November 2010 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Autumn Sunlight, Georgian Bay by Frank Hans Johnston. The »bidding war« ended at CAD 11,400.00 (€ 8,517.64), 27% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Hans Johnston achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scene From Acton Island in November 2012 with an auction result of CAD 129,000.00 (€ 99,838.66).

Im November 2010 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Autumn Sunlight, Georgian Bay von Frank Hans Johnston zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CAD 11.400,00 (€ 8.517,64) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Hans Johnston erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scene From Acton Island im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 129.000,00 (€ 99.838,66).
