Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work The Virgin And Child Surrounded By Music-Making Angels, The Holy Spirit And God The Father Above by Frans Francken II. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 30,125.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frans Francken II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diana and her nymphs in a wooded landscape in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 395,250.00 (€ 467,139.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Virgin And Child Surrounded By Music-Making Angels, The Holy Spirit And God The Father Above von Frans Francken II zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 30.125,36) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frans Francken II erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Diana and her nymphs in a wooded landscape im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 395.250,00 (€ 467.139,24).
