Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Courtyard by František Gross was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 5,670.00 (€ 6,657.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by František Gross - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Czech breakfast, which sold at auction in November 2017 for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,189.36).
