Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Henry H by Franz Kline was auctioned at Bonhams in November this year. The price achieved of USD 70,350.00 (€ 64,493.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franz Kline achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 40,402,500.00 (€ 31,054,957.72).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Henry H von Franz Kline kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 70.350,00 (€ 64.493,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Franz Kline erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.402.500,00 (€ 31.054.957,72).
