Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Still Life Of Roses, Morning Glory, Carnations, Forget-Me-Nots And Other Flowers On A Stone Ledge, Together With A Bunch Of Peaches by Franz Werner von Tamm. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Franz Werner von Tamm have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two courting doves, a squirrel and a guinea-pig on a forest floor; and A hen and chicks in a landscape in October 2004 with an auction result of GBP 20,315.00 (€ 29,238.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life Of Roses, Morning Glory, Carnations, Forget-Me-Nots And Other Flowers On A Stone Ledge, Together With A Bunch Of Peaches von Franz Werner von Tamm zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Franz Werner von Tamm auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Two courting doves, a squirrel and a guinea-pig on a forest floor; and A hen and chicks in a landscape im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.315,00 (€ 29.238,87).
